Half Off A 93 Point Wine!

Just $15.99

One of the youngest official Spanish wine regions has some of the oldest vines. Montsant is one of the youngest DOs (wine regions) in Spain having only attained its status in 2001. While new on paper, wine has been produced here since the Roman occupation over 2000 years ago.

VineyardsWhile the vines are old, they aren't that old. Over 55% of all vines are older than 20 years old and many over 40! These vines are planted on slopes so steep that no tractors can be used and most of these wines are hand harvested.

While this region forms a ring around and shares some borders with the highly touted region of Priorat, it doesn’t share the high price tag.

Wine

Grown on hillsides of clay, schist and limestone, these wines pick up the mineralistic aspect of the soil in which they are grown. Deeply colored and oozing with rich blueberry and black cherry the 2008 Besllum is a special offering just brought into Colorado at the insistence of our wine manager. Comprised of 45% Garnacha, 45% Carinena and 10% Syrah, aged for 16 months in new French oak, Robert Parker gave this wine 93 points at $32!!!

Don’t miss the chance to try this limited wine for only $15.99!!! We could only get a small amount and when it is gone it is gone. Be one of the few to explore this new region through this classic wine.
